What to Do When All Hope Is Gone? You Worship | W3 Ministries, Women. Who. Worship

What to do when all hope is gone? You worship.
Let's talk about it...
Have you ever wondered what to do when all hope is going? When life starts life-ing, and you feel like you cannot catch your breath, let alone a break. Your marriage is on the verge of collapsing, your children have become estranged, you cry in the parking lot everyday before walking into work, anxiety is wreaking havoc in your life, or your past keeps haunting you. Oh there's one more! What about the business the Lord told you to start, but it's losing steam (or never gained steam)? I want to encourage you to do something powerful: worship Jesus.
To be honest, I walked through each of those things I listed above - which, by the way, felt like the end of the world - but, I clung to hope. There were times where my grip became so tight that the palms of my hand became clammy, bruised, and calloused. To be honest it was a lengthy process, but I did make it to the other side. Hindsight kept me going back to my Abba, our Heavenly Father, I knew hope was in Him.
Worshipping Jesus When All Hope Seems Lost: Lesson from Luke 7:36-50.
I just furthered my study on Luke 7:36-50 and each time I study those verses I receive fresh revelation. For the past three years I have been studying this woman. She had many sins, but that did not stop her from crashing the party to worship Jesus. The wild part is she stood behind him and then fell at his feet. Talk about having a reverential fear of Jesus! She did not even look Him in the eyes, because it is written that she stood behind Him. Her situation looked hopeless, but she never allowed the naysayers (Pharisees) to keep her on the outside- she barged in (go her)! This lady was on a mission because her world was on the verge of collapsing and let's talk about the fact that she had many sins. Yet, she still showed up to worship Jesus. She worshipped Him with ALL that she had. She did not allow her situation stop her; instead, she used it as fuel. She poured it all out at the feet of Jesus. She used her tears to wash his feet, her hair to dry them, a kiss to honor Him (that was customary), and her very expensive perfume to anoint them. This was her sincere act of worship, faith, love, and repentance.
That is what we do when all hope is gone: we worship.
Believe me, God & Jesus already knows everything that is going wrong in and around your life. She never uttered a word about her situation, so we don't have to plead our case to be heard, because He already knows about it. Instead she worshipped- so let's emulate her example and worship. She did not care who was watching. She worshipped!
I bet you're curious to know about the time where divorce was knocking at my door, the issue with my oldest daughter, crying in my car because I did not want to work there anymore... I worshipped the Lord with my time, my commitment to my wedding vows, prayer, and fasting. But there was the one time in 2014 when I acted impulsively, and sister, that did not go so well for me. Long story short, I would sit in my car every morning before going into Camden Waterford Lakes to face my co-workers (two in particular). I could not take it anymore, so I told God what I was going to do - I QUIT! I definitely should not have done that, but the Lord being a good Father, turned it around after five years. I could have easily avoid those wilderness years by worshipping Him, but I didn't and I paid for that. The great part is, I learned a lot about God during those five years and I my relationship with Him and Jesus went to a deeper, richer, and more authentic level.
Now, let's get into the part about my marriage...
I had to learn to surrender my slick comments and my timing to the Lord. In 2018, I was ready to walk away from it all, but God would not allow me to do so. There was such a disconnect that was causing a short circuit in our marriage. At that point we had two girls, lost our home to a short sale, and my event planning company was finally making a comeback after my mini hiatus - it's complicated. The Holy Spirit kept reminding me of the four words I professed at the altar "For better or for worse." Then he led me to His Divine strategy that was found in Stormie Omartian's book The Power of a Praying Wife. Within a year, a true transformation happened in both of us, and today, we are BEST FRIENDS! The prayers I prayed from that book worked wonders, so much so I began praying them over other married couples because there is power in prayer.
So what are you going to do when all hope is gone?
You worship.
And, of course, wait on the Lord to direct you. Yes, that's right, worship the Lord with all that you have. So how does the story end? Well your worship will become authentic, you will be saved, feel His love, forgiven, and restored. He will guide you, but first, you must worship. Want to know a secret? I felt led by the Holy Spirit to name this ministry from the woman in Luke 7:36-50; W3 Ministries, Women. Who. Worship.
So are you ready to join me in worship?
Here's our game plan. I also encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit to lead you:
Our eyes: be mindful that what we are watching is pure, holy, and true.
Our ears: What are you listening to? Review playlist. Insert more worship music (especially to start and end your day).
Our time: Study scripture! Grab your Bible, pen, highlighter to read, highlight, & note what stands out to out.
Our finances: find someone in need & bless
Pray for others. Pray for them like their answered prayer depends on you praying and interceding for them.
